Celebrating 250 years since William Gilpin’s publishing of the world’s first tour guide, “Observations on the River Wye”. This film show follows in Gilpin’s footsteps through some of the most picturesque and inspiring landscapes the country has to offer, departing from Ross-on-Wye and the Prospect viewpoint.
Following the river to one of Gilpin’s grand views, Goodrich Castle, to the historic wharf at Lydbrook, the majestic loop of the river at Symonds Yat, and ending the first part of the tour at Monmouth, just as the early tourists would have done. From Monmouth we accompany Gilpin on a popular excursion to Raglan Castle.
In the second half the film continues to follow the river south, passing Redbrook, Llandogo and Brockweir. As the majestic ruin of Tintern Abbey comes into view we hear how it sparked the imagination of the early tourists.
Continuing towards Chepstow we pass Piercefield, visiting some of its viewpoints created for tourists in the 1700s. At Chepstow we visit the Castle before joining the Severn at Beachley.
Chipping Campden to Painswick: A mostly aerial tour through the seasons along the Cotswold Way. Taking in sights such as Broadway, Stanton, Stanway, Hailes Abbey, Belas Knap, Cleeve Hill, Painswick Beacon and Rococo Gardens.

The jewel in our City’s crown. In this show we learn about the history of the Abbey of St Peter, including the stained glass and the iconic tower. We meet the stonemasons that care for the buildings and see them at work. The film show includes a display of large printed photographs.
This show is a visitors perspective, it’s not affiliated with the cathedral.
A show of my best clips from the past 7 years. I tailor it differently to each group, trying to fit in something local. The show ends in a guessing game- guess the place by the view from the air. Accompanied by a print display.
